Illustrators Acquainted

This project came to live in march 2022 when I noticed that I am getting a lot of messages asking for business advice. It was so many messages in fact that I felt like this could be a zoom call. A hundred people showed up to that first call.

︎It became apparent that there is a need for community, access to resources and a path past gatekeepers among us illustrators.

We have met monthly since, with an always growing audience and have started inviting guests to talk about different aspects and niches of this industry. Tara Anand has joined me to occasionally host meetings as well.

While it’s such a joy to draw for a living, being an illustrator can be a hard and lonely job. There are not many resources that help us navigate this career. I hope we can change that together ︎
